Materials You’ll Need

To create your own cat paw chair socks, gather these materials:

  • Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Light Gray or Dusty Gray and White. This yarn is durable and comes in perfect colors to mimic a cat’s paws. You’ll need yarn in both gray and white for the paw details. A small amount of black yarn is also needed for the claws. Shop for yarn HERE at Yarnspirations.com.
  • Crochet Hook: Size G crochet hook. This size is ideal for working with the recommended yarn to create a dense fabric that will protect your floors and hold its shape.
  • Tapestry Needle: For weaving in ends and adding the black yarn claws.

Adding the Claws

  • Take a strand of 4-ply black yarn and separate it into two thinner strands (optional, for finer claws).
  • Use your tapestry needle to stitch the black yarn between the puff stitch “toes” on the white paw section. This creates the appearance of adorable little claws on your cat foot chair socks.
