However, to continue our mission, we urgently need compassionate foster caregivers in the NYC area who can open their homes and hearts to cats needing a little extra tender loving care. The entire Anjellicle Cats Rescue family mourns the loss of Mary Eliot, the dedicated director of Magnificat Cat Rescue, who passed away in September 2021. Mary was an unwavering advocate for cats in need, tirelessly rescuing countless sick and abandoned animals for over a decade. To honor Mary’s legacy and the countless felines she saved through Magnificat Rescue, Anjellicle Cats has proudly taken over the responsibility for the cats previously under their care, both present and future. Moving forward, all microchips will be registered under Anjellicle Cats. Furthermore, any cats adopted through Magnificat needing rehoming or return should now be directed to Anjellicle Cats.
