Binx Cat: From Puddle to Purrfect Companion

Sometimes, when life hits rock bottom, miracles happen. The incredible journey of Binx Cat began when a kind woman, dedicated to feeding a local feral cat colony, stumbled upon a heartbreaking sight. Arriving with food as usual, she noticed a motionless black lump in a puddle. It was Binx, a familiar face from the colony, and he appeared lifeless. Fearful for the worst, she approached cautiously, only to be met with a faint head movement and a soft, desperate meow.

Recognizing the urgency, she gently scooped up Binx’s limp body and rushed him to the nearest veterinary hospital. The diagnosis confirmed her worst fears: Binx was teetering on the brink of death. He was diagnosed with FIV+, a severe bacterial infection, and was profoundly anemic and dehydrated. His condition was so critical that he had collapsed in the puddle, devoid of the energy to even lift his head.

The dedicated veterinary team sprang into action, diligently treating his infection and dehydration. Slowly but surely, this resilient little black cat began his remarkable recovery. The woman who rescued him contacted a friend involved in feral cat rescue, who welcomed Binx into her home to continue his antibiotic treatment and provide a safe haven. Knowing Binx deserved a loving forever home, she started networking, and that’s when Lily Pond Sanctuary received the life-changing call. They gladly opened their hearts and home to Binx, settling him into a comfortable catio within their special needs cat room.

Despite his rough past on the streets, it was clear that Binx cat had once known the comfort of a home and the affection of humans. This handsome black feline adores people and will readily settle onto your lap, showering you with purrs in exchange for gentle pets. Perhaps he was lost, or maybe tragically abandoned, forced to navigate the harsh realities of feral life. One thing is certain: Binx is not a fan of other cats. He’s quick to instigate a disagreement with any feline sporting whiskers and a tail. It’s presumed that these encounters with other feral cats are how he contracted FIV+.

But let’s shift our focus to the brighter side – Binx cat’s many charming qualities! Quite frankly, Binx is a more engaging conversationalist than many humans. He happily chirps and chats about everything from current events to the squirrels he observes outside the window. He’s also a master of comical facial expressions, often appearing hilariously shocked or adorably cross-eyed. Binx is undoubtedly a strong contender for any “derp cat” photo competition on social media.

So, if you’re seeking some quality cuddle time with an exceptionally charming and quirky feline, come meet Binx! And if you happen to capture a winningly funny “derp” photo, Binx requests half the prize winnings be in the form of premium catnip.
