At Cat Tales, our core mission is to offer a secure sanctuary for felines in need. We dedicate ourselves to providing comprehensive veterinary attention and a nurturing, hygienic, and affectionate environment. This haven serves as a temporary residence for cats as they await the opportunity to find their permanent, loving homes. Regardless of age, disposition, or specific needs – be they kittens, seniors, those with special conditions, or even cats who are initially timid or unsettled – Cat Tales embraces every cat’s unique story.
We extend our care to cats from our local community and also welcome felines from distant locations. These cats may come from high-volume shelters where euthanasia is a risk, from challenging street environments, or from situations where they have sadly lost their homes. Our intake is based on available space, ensuring we can provide the best possible care for every cat we take in.
Cat Tales collaborates with a network of rescue partners spanning across New Hampshire and the wider country. These partnerships are invaluable in bringing cats to our shelter. We deeply appreciate our extensive community of volunteers and partner organizations. Their dedication and compassion are fundamental to Cat Tales, enabling us to significantly improve the lives of cats who have faced adversity. We are especially proud of our strong partnership with a dedicated veterinarian who visits our shelter weekly to provide consistent and expert medical care to all our cats.
Beyond physical health, a cornerstone of our approach at Cat Tales is providing unwavering love and understanding to each cat. Many of the cats arriving at our shelter have experienced neglect or lack of proper care. Through patience, gentle interaction, and abundant affection, we witness these cats flourish, revealing their most wonderful selves.
For numerous cats that find their way to Cat Tales, we represent a crucial turning point, often their last opportunity for hope. Our commitment is to rarely turn away a cat in need. Irrespective of age, behavioral challenges, or medical complexities, we aim to offer each cat a genuine chance at experiencing the warmth and security of a loving and devoted home.
