Like many, my life has always been enriched by the presence of cats. However, discovering the Maine Coon breed was truly transformative. This magnificent feline captured my heart so completely that it inspired me to become a Maine Coon breeder, dedicated to sharing the joy of this breed with others.
Growing up, my feline companions were mostly outdoor adventurers. While my parents weren’t keen on indoor pets, my love for cats meant they often found themselves secretly welcomed into my room during chilly nights, hidden away until the early morning.
Later in life, my husband gifted me a Himalayan kitten, a fluffy bundle of joy named Jack Frost. “Jack,” as we affectionately called him, became a cherished family member, growing up alongside our children. Though reserved with strangers, Jack was deeply loved and a constant companion to our family. He was with us through life’s journeys, moves, and the early years of raising our children. Jack was my first cat from kittenhood until his passing, truly my best friend.
Sadly, Jack passed away from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in January 2012 at the age of 14. After a year of missing feline companionship, I felt ready to welcome a new kitten into my life, but this time, I wanted to explore a different breed. My son, a fellow cat enthusiast, suggested the Maine Coon. He showed me a picture, and I was instantly captivated. Intrigued, I researched their temperament and characteristics and was completely charmed.
Meet Our Maine Coon Family and Discover the Breed’s Allure
In June 2014, Finlay, my first Maine Coon, joined our family. He came from LuckyPaws Maine Coons and is a striking Classic Brown Tabby with white markings. Finlay is the epitome of cool and collected. He naturally assumed the role of guardian, lovingly grooming and gently correcting the younger Maine Coons who followed. He’s also a grooming enthusiast himself! Finlay has claimed his spot as our permanent bed companion, always found in our bed at night, sometimes at the foot, often beside my husband. He’s a large cat, the size of a toddler, making us consider a King-size bed upgrade!
My fascination with Maine Coons deepened, and it became clear that one was not enough. In November 2016, Big Ben arrived from SonShine Coons, initially a foster but bred by 3B Al Coons. He’s a playful Blue Silver Tabby with white, the resident goofball of our home. Clumsy, playful, and incredibly sweet, Big Ben is a true gentle giant. Still young, he already weighs close to 20 pounds! He adores water, his feline siblings, and especially belly rubs.

My affection for the breed only grew, leading to the arrival of Omega in September 2017. Omega, a solid White Maine Coon male from a breeder in South Carolina, has an exceptional personality. He’s incredibly gentle, kind, and possesses a certain charm that endears him to everyone. He’s simply a magnificent cat.

My Journey to Becoming a Maine Coon Breeder: Offering Maine Coon Cats For Sale
Around January 2017, the thought of becoming a Maine Coon breeder began to take root. I dedicated myself to research, study, and conversations with established breeders, eager to absorb as much knowledge as possible about this remarkable breed. Being a breeder, responsible for creating these wonderful cats, is vastly different from being a pet owner. It carries a profound responsibility to uphold and enhance the breed, ensuring the continuation of their beauty, health, and exceptional temperaments for generations to come.
In December 2017, I took the plunge and welcomed Ursula, my first Maine Coon female. Ursula, a stunning black tortie Maine Coon from Catsvill County Maine Coons in Moscow, Russia, became the foundation of my breeding program. She gifted me with several litters of beautiful Maine Coon kittens before retiring to her forever home. Thank you, Ursula, for the wonderful start!
