The Monster terrain isn’t for the faint of heart. Boasting nine demanding double-black diamond runs and a wealth of unmarked, exhilarating lines in between, this is where true mountain enthusiasts thrive. Imagine yourself carving through steep slopes, navigating wide-open faces, and exploring seemingly endless glades. Monster Cat Operating Hours
Weather and snow conditions permitting, the Monster Cat service operates Thursday to Sunday from 10 AM to 2:30 PM, extending into March (snow conditions allowing). Keep an eye out for bonus holiday Mondays too! Please note that Monster Cat operations may be subject to delays or closures due to extreme cold or necessary snow safety work within Taynton Bowl. On weekends, specifically Saturdays and Sundays, both Monster Cat vehicles will be running in tandem, ensuring swift and frequent shuttles to the renowned Monster Plateau.
Your Private Monster Cat Experience
Dreaming of an unforgettable day with your crew? Gather up to 12 of your closest friends and seize the ultimate mountain adventure: your own private Monster Cat. Starting in January, you and your group can reserve an entire Monster X snowcat for the day, whisking you away from the Ktunaxa pick-up point to the summit of The Monster (Goldie Plateau). This exclusive program is available Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday (excluding holiday periods).
Enjoy the luxury of having a dedicated Monster Cat, warmed up and waiting, ready to shuttle your private party back up Taynton Bowl’s Monster terrain as many times as your legs allow, from 10 AM to 3 PM (last pick-up at 2:45 PM). Please remember that each participant requires a valid lift ticket or season pass in addition to the Private Cat experience. Bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance to secure your exclusive Monster Cat adventure.
